MONTHLY WORKSHOPS

THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH | 7-9PM

Join our monthly two-hour workshop set in the cosiness of The Cross Barn, Odiham in Hampshire. Each session is slightly different and they are designed to feel immersive, like mini retreat evenings. They are a lovely way of investing in yourself and your wellbeing, by developing your mind-body connection. Gentle intuitive movement, stretches, somatic practices to regulate your nervous system and help with stress and anxiety, guided mindfulness, meditation and deep relaxation to aid rest and recovery, ending with quiet self-reflection or community connection.

  • So calming and good to do something different

    JN, RESTORE & RESET PARTICIPANT

  • From the moment we walked in, it felt just right. The scene was set and the welcome from Courtney was calm and relaxed. The venue was pretty and inviting with the right atmosphere. The evening itself was amazing, an opportunity to connect with myself and stop the noise just for a while. I’ve been able to take some of the intentions into my daily life too.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes these sessions different?
I'm all about sharing real, tangible practices that have worked for me on my own healing journey from burnout and chronic stress, and can work for you too. I'm not about perfection. It doesn't matter what you wear, how bendy you are (I’m not at all!), or if this is your first time trying something like this. It's all about being yourself, reconnecting mind and body, and finding the things that really work for you. Because of this, it is less prescriptive than some other sessions.

What can I expect?
Classes and workshops are tailored to participants’ needs as much as possible, which is why booking in advance is essential.

We start each session with a short welcome practice standing or sitting - this usually involves connecting to our breath or our bodies in some way, grounding and centring. For workshops and longer sessions we’ll outline what our time together looks like.

We follow with gentle movement and stretches, standing, sitting, kneeling and lying on our mats - many of these will be familiar to you, especially if you’ve done exercise classes or fitness workouts in the past, or other mind-body practices such as Pilates or yoga.

Then move to guided mindfulness, meditation and relaxation practices lying down (with the option to sit on your mat or use a chair instead).

Weekly classes end with a short energiser, reflection or intention-setting to take with us and there is the opportunity to share and connect with the group if you’d like to but without any expectation to. Workshops and longer sessions also include practices or discussion around the theme. And they end with hot drinks, and the opportunity for quiet self-reflection or community connection before we prepare to leave the space we have experienced and enjoyed together with a closing practice.

What if I’ve never done anything like this before?
Sessions are inclusive and open to everyone, especially if you're a beginner, less experienced, or if you’ve struggled with stillness, silence, meditation and mindfulness before.

My approach is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. Everything is invitational, and you can stop or try something else if it doesn’t feel good. It’s about tuning into your body and what feels right for you in the moment. There is no requirement to be still, close your eyes or quiet your mind.

What should I wear?
Comfortable loose clothes or workout clothes are best, with warm layers, and socks to stay warm when we do the relaxation at the end.

What should I bring?
Please bring with you:
A yoga mat or other exercise mat (I have a couple to borrow if needed)
A cushion or pillow, or two if you prefer (I have a few spare to borrow)
A blanket or throw (I have one or two spare to borrow if needed)
A bottle of water
Plus a travel mug for workshops (these are available at the venue too)
